Dr. Marv Sambur Appointed to Proxy Aviation Systems’ Board of Directors

Sambur brings extensive aerospace and defense industry experience to the company

Germantown, Md. -- April 24, 2007 -- Proxy Aviation Systems, Inc., (www.proxyaviation.com), a company that develops fully autonomous, optionally piloted unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), announced the appointment of Dr. Marv Sambur to its board of directors. Dr. Sambur serves on the prestigious Air Force Science Advisory Board and the National Academy of Science Studies Board. As a Proxy board member, Dr. Sambur will provide advice and direction to Proxy Aviation in collaboration with other members.

Dr. Sambur has nearly 40 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industries. Throughout his career, he has served in a variety of executive-level positions including President and CEO of the ITT $1.5 billion Defense Group. From 2001 to 2005, Dr. Sambur served as the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition in Washington, D.C. In this role, he was responsible for all Air Force research, development and acquisition activities. In addition to directing $37 billion in annual procurement for the F/A-22, F-35, C-17 and other major programs, Dr. Sambur also formulated and executed the $220 billion Air Force investment strategy to provide combat capability to joint war fighting commanders.

Recently, Dr. Sambur was appointed to the University of Maryland, A. James Clark School of Engineering as "Professor of the Practice.” Only two other individuals have ever been so honored.
