Advanced Heavy Payload Unmanned Aircraft

SkyRaider is an advanced, optionally piloted vehicle (OPV), which is capable of both manned and unmanned operations to fulfill a wide range of missions. The vehicle is based on a proven composite aircraft design, which has been through rigorous load tree analysis and wind tunnel testing, and is fabricated from molded components ensuring precision assembly. Equipped to carry a variety of sensors and external stores, SkyRaider is designed for low- and medium- altitude, long endurance missions; persistent intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) operations; battle damage assessment (BDA); and communications relay. In addition, SkyRaider is designed to fulfill missions requiring the carriage and release of external stores.

The SkyRaider has a higher useful load than other UAVs in the mid-range class, which supports heavy payload ISR missions. It uses an FAA certified 260 horsepower AVGAS aircraft engine, and Proxy also offers a heavy fuel propulsion option for lower fuel consumption and increased endurance. The combination of the aircraft’s greater lifting capacity, its quick change payload options, and its optionally piloted design, makes the SkyRaider a true workhorse of the battlefield.

Network Centric, Concurrent, Cooperative Flight

By utilizing Proxy Aviation’s SkyForce Distributed Management System (DMS), SkyRaider features a number of advanced flight capabilities to achieve Group Tactical Goals, including cooperative flight and Automatic Take-Off and Landing (ATOL).

Designed to carry a variety of external stores, SkyRaider aircraft is preloaded with a flight plan which can include tactical objectives for autonomous missions. Controlled by the SkyForce system, the unique, optionally piloted operation allows for rapid deployment of aircraft in theater or across civil airspace. SkyRaider’s quick deployment capability, as well as its high level of reliability, persistence and survivability, makes it the ideal aircraft to fulfill a number of challenging missions at home and abroad.

Versatile Payload Options

SkyRaider's versatile, quick change, heavy payload option enables several payload combinations among air vehicles in constellation. This feature supports variable mission requirements including Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Electro Optic (EO) / InfraRed (IR) imaging, Signal Intelligence (SigInt), Communications Intelligence (CommInt), Communications Relay and others.
